Duration: Immediate Start Through the End of the Current School Year
Pay Rate: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, School Hours

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher / Intervention Specialist to support K-8 students in a school-based setting within the Greater Cleveland area. The selected candidate will join a collaborative educational team and play a critical role in delivering specialized instruction, supporting IEP goals, and creating a positive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals
• Provide specialized academic support to students receiving special education services
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate a variety of learning needs and abilities
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records and documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Implement research-based instructional strategies and interventions
• Support students in inclusion, resource, and/or self-contained settings as assigned
• Maintain a structured, positive, and engaging classroom environment
• Utilize effective behavior management and intervention strategies
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and development
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, related service providers, and support staff
• Incorporate instructional technology to enhance student engagement and achievement

Qualifications

Required

• Active Ohio Intervention Specialist License
• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to pass all required state and federal background screenings

Preferred

• Experience working with K-8 students
• Inclusion, resource room, or self-contained classroom experience
• Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and behavioral needs
• Urban education experience
• Strong collaboration and case management skills

Compensation

• $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
