Accounting Manager/Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. This role will oversee close activities, maintain the integrity of the general ledger, and support accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, a hands-on approach to reconciliations and journal entries, and the ability to coordinate audit-related activities effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Direct monthly close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results

• Oversee general ledger maintenance, including review of account activity and resolution of discrepancies

• Prepare and approve journal entries while ensuring supporting documentation is complete and accurate

• Perform detailed account reconciliations and follow through on outstanding variances

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during financial statement audit activities

• Review financial data for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with accounting standards

• Strengthen accounting processes and controls to improve efficiency and reporting reliability

• Proven experience in an accounting leadership or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger management
• Hands-on experience with account reconciliations and journal entry preparation
• Familiarity with supporting financial statement audits and responding to audit requests
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage priorities and meet recurring reporting deadlines
