Laboratory Assistant

The Assistant Scientist supports R&D and Quality Control operations by reviewing analytical data, laboratory records, and supporting documentation. This position ensures laboratory testing is accurate, complete, traceable, and compliant with approved methods, SOPs, GMP requirements, and Good Documentation Practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Review analytical data, laboratory records, calculations, instrument outputs, chromatograms, and test results.
• Review testing performed using HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, dissolution testing, and wet chemistry techniques.
• Ensure documentation complies with GMP, GDP, SOPs, pharmaceutical quality standards, and data integrity requirements.
• Identify discrepancies, atypical results, and documentation issues and work with laboratory personnel to resolve them.
• Review data related to raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability studies.
• Utilize laboratory and electronic data systems to review results and track sample status.
• Support investigations, deviations, OOS/OOT events, and other quality-related activities.
• Collaborate with QC, QA, laboratory leadership, and cross-functional teams to support testing and product release.

Required Skills & Experience

• BS degree with less than 1 year of experience, OR Associate degree/certificate/high school diploma with 1+ year of laboratory experience.
• Academic laboratory experience is acceptable for entry-level candidates.

• Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Laboratory safety
• pH meters
• Analytical balances
• Pipettes and glassware
• General chemistry laboratory techniques
