Job Title: Test Automation Consultant – ITAR / Federal Project
Location: Raleigh, NC (Remote – 3 days on-site preferred)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking a Test Automation Consultant to lead large-scale test automation implementation for an ITAR / Federal project supporting a global technology services firm.
This role focuses on TOSCA test automation across SAP and non-SAP applications, providing guidance to the team while working closely under the guidance of a Test Manager. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with automation testing frameworks, third-party tools for TOSCA, Continuous Integration / Continuous Testing practices, and the ability to drive high test coverage in complex enterprise environments. U.S. Citizens only due to ITAR requirements. This is a remote role with preferred on-site presence in Raleigh, NC (3 days per week preferred).

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead large-scale implementation of TOSCA test automation for SAP and non-SAP applications (GUI, Web-based, Fiori, client-server, and mobile).
  • Provide guidance to the team on automation frameworks and third-party tools for TOSCA.
  • Evaluate systems and applications to determine candidates for test automation.
  • Design and execute test automation scripts, support Continuous Integration / Continuous Development / Continuous Testing practices, and perform defect triage and results reporting.
  • Design test data management through automation for creation and maintenance using framework accelerators.
  • Achieve high test case automation coverage through active test case candidate review programs.
  • Stay current with industry standards and perform POCs to implement new changes.
  • Perform hands-on TOSCA Dex administration, configuration, customization, and upgrade activities.
  • Collaborate with multiple partners and exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong experience leading or contributing to large-scale TOSCA test automation implementations for SAP and non-SAP applications.
  • Hands-on experience with TOSCA Dex administration, configuration, customization, and upgrades.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (C#, .NET, or Java) and familiarity with API automation.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Testing practices, script creation, defect triage, and reporting.
  • Experience with TestDevops management/analysis tools (qTest Manager, HP ALM, ADO, Rally, LiveCompare, or similar).
  • Experience working in hybrid/Agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple partners.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • U.S. Citizen only (ITAR / Federal project requirement).
  • Ability to work remotely with preferred 3-day on-site presence in Raleigh, NC.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience on ITAR or Federal projects involving test automation.
  • Hands-on experience designing test data management strategies and framework accelerators.
  • Track record of achieving high automation coverage through structured candidate review programs.
  • Experience supporting both SAP GUI/Fiori and non-SAP (web, client-server, mobile) applications in the same framework.
