Summary:
Sevan is looking for an experienced construction leader to help build and develop our Superintendent workforce nationwide. You'll work across projects to coach and develop Superintendents, strengthen field execution, help hire top field talent, and ensure we have the right leaders assigned to the right projects.
This is a highly visible, hands-on field leadership role for someone who has spent their career building projects and now wants to help build people, teams, and consistent field operations at scale.
Location: Tacoma, WA preferred | Relocation assistance available | Remote candidates considered
Travel: Approximately 50% nationwide
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Identify strengths and development needs and help prepare field leaders for increasingly complex projects.
- Lead Superintendent onboarding, technical training, and continuing development.
Strengthen Field Execution
- Serve as a senior technical resource on construction methods, sequencing, logistics, inspections, documentation, safety, quality, and closeout.
- Identify recurring field challenges and translate lessons learned into stronger practices and training.
Build & Deploy the Team
- Partner with Recruiting and Operations to interview and evaluate Superintendent candidates.
- Help match Superintendent capabilities and experience to project requirements.
- Anticipate staffing needs and support transitions between projects.
Partner With Operations
- Work closely with Operations Directors and Project Executives to strengthen field performance, address resource needs, and build the future Superintendent pipeline.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of construction field experience, including significant experience as a Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent, or comparable field leader.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting, evaluating, mentoring, and developing construction field leaders.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings and specifications, scheduling, safety, quality control, and field documentation.
- Experience working across multiple projects or with geographically dispersed teams preferred.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal construction requirements; experience with occupied-facility renovations, three-phase quality control, and formal inspection hold points preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
- OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications required or ability to obtain; state/local General Contractor license and LEED accreditation or familiarity with sustainable construction practices preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; construction management/engineering degree preferred. Equivalent field experience is highly valued.
Why Join Sevan?
This is an opportunity to take your field leadership experience beyond a single project and have an impact across Sevan’s national construction portfolio. You’ll help develop the next generation of field leaders, influence how Superintendent talent is deployed across projects, and serve as a trusted technical resource to our construction teams.
At Sevan you'll also:
- Live Our Values: Join a company that values integrity, respect, teamwork, excellence, and charity. These principles are at the heart of everything we do.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.

This role requires approximately 50% nationwide travel, including regular visits to active construction sites. Tacoma-area candidates are preferred; however, Sevan will consider relocation assistance and qualified remote-based candidates based on experience and accessibility to nationwide travel.
