Job Description
CDR General Services LLC is seeking experienced, skilled, and dependable Aluminum Welders for full-time positions in Franklin, LA. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, preferably in marine fabrication or shipbuilding environments. Candidates must demonstrate strong welding techniques, blueprint reading abilities, and a commitment to producing high-quality welds while following workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum components and marine structures.
- Weld and assemble aluminum parts used in boat and vessel construction.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare, measure, cut, and fit aluminum materials according to specifications.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting tools, and other fabrication equipment.
- Perform welding in various positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure structural integrity and quality standards.
- Identify and repair welding defects as needed.
- Follow OSHA safety regulations and company welding procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience in aluminum welding, preferably in shipbuilding or marine fabrication.
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding processes on aluminum.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Strong knowledge of aluminum welding techniques, material preparation, and heat control.
- Experience using welding equipment, grinders, and fabrication tools.
- Ability to produce clean, consistent, and high-quality welds.
- Experience welding in multiple positions.
- Ability to pass a hands-on welding test if required.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an industrial or shipyard environment.
