Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Clinton Township, MI 48035
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: Mon, Wed, & Thurs- 8-430 pm; Tuesday- 845 am- 715 pm; Friday- 8-230 pm (Needs to be flexible with hours including working late nights and one Saturday per month, if needed)

Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Job Summary:
Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).
Responsibilities:

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• May document the provider's encounter with patients. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.

Complexity of Work:

• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Required:

• Must have phlebotomy skills, less clerical skills.
• Patient Care, Administer medication, check patients o Knowledge of vaccines.
• BLS from AHA.
• High School diploma equivalency.
• Medical Assistant certification.
