Hadoop Developer

Job Description
The Credit Risk Platform team is seeking an experienced Hadoop Developer to design, develop, and support large-scale Big Data solutions that enable critical risk reporting and analytics. The role involves working across the full software development lifecycle, leveraging Hadoop, Spark, ETL, and automation technologies to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business and technology partners, drive process improvements, and support Retail View and other strategic Credit Risk data initiatives.

Required Qualifications
• Mid to seniorlevel Hadoop Developer with the ability to design, develop, and optimize Big Data solutions using the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark) to efficiently process largescale datasets.
• Strong ETL skills with deep experience in Hadoop and Big Data technologies; proficiency in Apache Spark (including performance tuning and troubleshooting); solid PL/SQL and RDBMS knowledge; advanced Unix/Unix shell scripting; and strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, scheduling tools, and automation/scripting.
• Experience using AIassisted tools to improve development, testing, and troubleshooting; strong knowledge of Bitbucket, Gradle, Jenkins, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines; and excellent data/code analysis abilities, including diagnosing data quality issues, performing rootcause analysis, and supporting production teams in resolving critical issues.

Desired Qualifications
• Experience working in Agile teams with the ability to lead small initiatives and promote best practices in software development and testing.
• Strong Python scripting skills and experience participating in or leading Proofs of Concept (POCs).
• Experience in Enterprise Credit Risk or broader financial risk platforms.
