Nutrition & Dietetic Technician, Registered

We are excited to be looking for an experienced and talented candidate to join the growing AVI healthcare market in Ohio. Currently we are looking for the right candidate to complement the successful team as a Full-time Nutrition & Dietetic Technician, Registered (NDTR) at Aultman Hospital in Canton Ohio. Highly competitive starting pay, based on experience and qualifications.

Position Overview

• The NDTR works closely with the clinical dietitians and interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy.
• The NDTR utilizes the electronic health record and foodservice database to contribute to the nutritional plan of care, including nutrition screening, assessment, intervention and monitoring and evaluation.
• The NDTR educates the patient and/or appropriate family member(s), serves as a nutrition educator for the other healthcare professionals and department employees, and acts as a nutrition resource for the community.
• The NDTR manages resources in a cost-effective manner; participates in performance improvement efforts; and maintains professional competency and skills required for professional practice.
• The NDTR participates in various interdisciplinary teams and fosters continuity of care across all stages of the healthcare system.

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from an approved/accredited university or college program, and completion of an ACEND Didactic Program in Dietetics.

• Successful completion of NDTR Exam and certified with The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), currently Licensed or ability to be Licensed in the State of Ohio.

• Work in a standing or walking position for 20-30% of the work time
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
