Registered Nurse - ICU

We are seeking a qualified and experienced registered nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. This role involves providing high-quality care to critically ill adult patients in a rural critical access hospital environment.

Position Details

• Floating Between Units: Yes
• On-Call Requirement: No
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, 6 weekend shifts per schedule period
• Block Schedules: No
• Expected Patient Ratios: ICU - 1:2-3 (depending on acuity)

Special Requirements

• Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience: Prior ICU experience required
• Role: Function as a bedside ICU nurse, not in the Charge Nurse role
• Competency: Must be competent in the care of critically ill adult patients
• Environment: Comfortable working in a rural critical access hospital

When the ICU census is low, the nurse may be assigned to assist on the Med-Surg unit. This may include accepting a limited assignment of approximately 1-2 Med-Surg patients or assisting with patient care activities as needed. A full Med-Surg patient load will not be assigned except under extraordinary circumstances and at the discretion of the Charge Nurse and Manager.
