Enterprise Architect II (Cloud & Infrastructure)

Summary:

The main function of an Enterprise Architect (Cloud & Infrastructure) is to establish system information requirements using analysis of information in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems.

Responsibilities:

• Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
• Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architectures, and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation and specific to the solution for the platform, integration with other systems, and the external interfaces.
• Ensures that the common operating environment is compliant.
• Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of work flows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action.
• Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.

Requirements:

• Contract position.
• Work authorization: Any.
• Work location: Downtown, Houston Texas.
• In-office requirement: 4 days a week, no remote, no exceptions. Must start onsite from day 1 and provide written confirmation for the same.
• Interview process: 2 rounds - 30 min screening via Teams and 60 min in-person.

Required Skills:

• Experience with broad technology delivery, including custom development using various development languages.
• Experience with providing technical leadership, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and clients.
• Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for small software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations.
• Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
• Requires practical experience and training.
• Requires experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Aura and Amazon Web Services (AWS) preferred.
• Knowledge or certification in TOGAF preferred.
