Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a 13-week contract assignment at Adventist Health Twin Cities in Templeton, California. The CMA will support physicians and clinical staff by providing high-quality patient care and administrative assistance in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and facility policy.
• Perform basic laboratory procedures and specimen collection.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record system.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care activities.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and patient confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

• Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid government-issued photo ID.
• Updated resume.
• Professional references.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS Certification.
• PALS Certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
• Previous outpatient, clinic, or hospital CMA experience.
