Job Description

About Applied Digital:

Applied Digital designs, builds, and operates data center infrastructure for high-performance computing and AI workloads. Our teams work across construction, engineering, finance, operations, and technology to deliver complex projects on a scale.

We are:

  • Forward-Thinkers: With a keen eye on current market trends and future innovations, we adapt swiftly and lead technological evolution.
  • Resilient: We navigate complex challenges and emerge stronger, delivering robust and reliable solutions for industry pioneers.
  • Innovative Designers: Leveraging the latest technologies, we create visionary solutions that redefine industry standards.

At Applied Digital, we are committed to solving intricate problems, advancing business initiatives, maximizing operational efficiency, and reducing our carbon footprint. We are a team of resilient, forward-thinking innovators driving the AI revolution.

Position Summary:

We are looking for an AI Solutions Delivery Lead who can help those teams improve how work gets done using practical, secure AI and automation.

The AI Solutions Delivery Lead turns high-value business problems into working solutions that people use. This is a hands-on product and delivery role focused on improving specific workflows, reducing manual effort, and helping teams make faster, better-informed decisions.

Working across Technology and business teams, you will partner directly with process owners and subject matter experts to understand how work is done, define what a useful result looks like, and confirm that the necessary data and system access are available. You will lead delivery in small, testable stages—from an initial prototype through rollout, user adoption, and measurement.

You will coordinate with the people who own relevant platforms, systems, data, and security across Corporate IT, Systems, Network, DCIS/Controls, Cybersecurity, and the business. You will use existing internal capabilities and vendors where appropriate, stay hands-on, and raise blockers early.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and frame valuable work

  • Partner with teams in construction, finance, engineering, and operations to identify repetitive, time-consuming, or error-prone work.
  • Define each use case with a business owner, a clear user need, a baseline, and a measurable target.
  • Confirm early that required data, system access, and subject matter expertise are available. Surface gaps and dependencies before they become late-stage surprises.
  • Prioritize a focused portfolio based on business value, feasibility, risk, and time to deliver.

Build tools that help teams execute work faster

  • Find time-consuming steps where teams search across records, reconcile information, prepare updates, track actions, or move work between systems.
  • Build and improve practical internal tools—such as AI-enabled applications, agents, automations, and workflow utilities—that bring relevant information together and help users complete the next step.
  • Focus on measurable improvements to work such as reviewing invoices or change orders, checking project requirements, tracking materials, resolving exceptions, and preparing operational decisions.
  • Make tools useful in the actual workflow, with clear outputs, links to source information, visible exceptions, and an identified next action or owner.
  • Measure whether the full task gets completed faster, with less rework or fewer errors—not just whether the tool produces a response quickly.
  • Work with users to test, refine, document, and support tools after rollout.

Deliver working solutions

  • Lead focused AI and automation initiatives from discovery through rollout and ongoing improvement.
  • Break ambiguous requests into small deliverables that users can test and provide feedback on.
  • Build prototypes or working solutions directly where practical, and coordinate with internal technology owners or external partners when more support is needed.
  • Connect solutions to approved enterprise systems and data sources, such as document repositories, ERP and project systems, databases, and collaboration tools.
  • Make results reviewable and useful in the workflow, including source references, clear exceptions, and human review where needed.
  • Keep business owners and technology stakeholders informed about scope, data, access, timing, and other delivery risks.

Validate results and drive adoption

  • Test solutions with real users and representative data before making claims about accuracy, savings, or readiness.
  • Establish evaluation methods appropriate to the use case, including accuracy, coverage, time saved, exception detection, and user adoption.
  • Work with business owners to verify results against source records and agree on what qualifies as a successful outcome.
  • Ensure business owners and users participate in validation, make timely decisions, and support adoption.
  • Provide training, documentation, feedback channels, and clear ownership for ongoing support.
  • Monitor performance after rollout and refine or retire solutions based on evidence of value.

Build responsibly and for reuse

  • Work with Security, Legal, relevant technology owners, and business stakeholders to meet requirements for data access, privacy, retention, auditability, and model use.
  • Use approved platforms and existing internal capabilities where they fit; recommend new vendors or custom development when there is a clear need.
  • Apply sound practices for identity, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and cost control.
  • Create reusable delivery patterns, evaluations, and documentation that help other teams apply AI responsibly.
  • Report progress, decisions, risks, and realized outcomes to business and executive stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering technology products, automation, integrations, or operational improvement initiatives.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience delivering applied AI or intelligent automation solutions, including at least one solution used in a real business workflow.
  • Experience taking solutions beyond a demo, with responsibility for testing, deployment, user feedback, and ongoing improvement.
  • Working knowledge of current AI solution patterns, such as LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, tool or function calling, and workflow automation.
  • Experience connecting applications and data through APIs, identity controls, and enterprise platforms.
  • Ability to investigate data quality and access early, validate assumptions with system owners, and explain limitations clearly.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to work with frontline users, technical teams, and senior leaders.
  • Ability to define practical measures of success and use them to guide delivery decisions.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise security and responsible AI practices, including access control, sensitive data handling, human review, and auditability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, finance, or another operations-heavy environment.
  • Experience working with complex projects, contract, invoice, procurement, or operational records.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Azure AI, Palantir Foundry, UiPath, Copilot Studio, GrokBot, or Cursor.
  • Experience with Python, TypeScript, or another language for prototypes, data analysis, or integrations.
  • Familiarity with model evaluation, retrieval quality testing, monitoring, and production support.
  • Experience coordinating internal stakeholders and external implementation partners
  • Master’s degree in technical or business field.
