Ascension Seton Edgar B Davis, 130 Hays St, Luling , Tx 78648. Flexible work week, every other weekend required. on-call 3 shifts per 6 weeks. Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities include to implement and monitor pt care plans. Monitors, records and communicates pt condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated pt care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinates pt discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Certifications should include: Advance Life Support and Pediatric Life Support. TNCC preferred but not required.

Level IV Trauma Facility. 5 bed ED in Luling, Texas. Facility includes a 16 bed Med/Surg Unit and 2 bed IMC. Staffing is typically a 2 RNs with a mid-shift of either an LVN or RN on most days. 24/7 emergency care for adults and pediatrics acute injuries and life threatening conditions (e.g. stroke, STEMI, fractures, concussions, minor illnesses). Patients requiring higher level of care or intervention are quickly stabilized and transferred out to our network hospitals to receive the specialty care services they need.
