Job Title: Senior Software Engineer – Distributed Systems & Rust
Location: Austin, TX / Sunnyvale, CA
Job Type: Contract
Rate: $55/hour on C2C

Key Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Rust development.
• Experience with async/await, concurrency, Sync/Send, and modern Rust practices.
• Strong experience designing and implementing highly scalable applications and web services.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including distributed consensus, replication, and failure detection.
• Experience with concurrent programming, locking, memory synchronization, and atomic operations.
• Experience developing high-performance and maintainable systems.
• Strong understanding of testing, debugging, and production support.

Nice to Have:

• Blob storage solutions.
• Distributed key-value databases.
• Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Linux system internals.
• Storage systems and internals.
• Backend web technologies.

The position involves working on a distributed multi-tiered data orchestration service supporting critical AI/ML systems. The role requires strong ownership across the complete software lifecycle, from identifying improvements and implementation through production support.
