Java Developer

Our Client, a Health Insurance company, is looking for a Java Developer for their Remote location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clients, business analysts and team members on major projects to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that align with business and IT strategies and are in compliance with the organization’s architectural standards.
• Provide support in the full systems life cycle that may span a broad range of applications to ensure application software is delivered on time and within budget.
• Code applications or enterprise-wide software systems using a disciplined development process.
• Integrate solutions with other applications and platforms outside the framework.
• Create data extracts and reports from system based on requirements.
• Develop, execute, and document unit test plans. Support and/or execute all testing efforts across the life cycle.
• Identify technical requirements. Create technical design specifications and assist in sizing technical requirements, as needed.
• Assist and review technical design specifications developed by junior levels.

 
Requirements:

• A minimum of 5+ years IT development experience in supporting IT systems and processes
• Extensive knowledge of one or more SDLCs.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Java, JEE patterns, Angular, Frameworks, and Oracle programming languages
• Required Skills/Experience – The rest of the required skills/experience.  Include:
• Advanced PL/SQL, SQL queries to extract, manipulate, or calculate information to fulfill data and reporting requirements.
• UNIX/LINUX scripting
• Develops, executes, and documents unit test plans.
• Experience and understanding of health insurance industry.
• Preferred Skills/Experience – Optional but preferred skills/experience.  Include:
• Strong analytical experience in design, build, and break/fix.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred
• Education/Certifications – Include:
• Bachelor degree required in a related field such as Computer Science or Business Information Systems.
• Certifications Preferred – JAVA, Oracle, UNIX/LINUX, or Project Management related
