Record Center Specialist 1

Job Summary - Contract role - set currently for 3 months.

This position involves the manual handling of storage boxes, bins, and totes, which range in weight from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs. Record Center Specialists are responsible for moving, arranging, lifting, and loading these items manually and using hand carts. The role requires frequent kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending throughout the shift.

Work Schedule

Normal work schedule is 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
8:30am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
• Perform manual lifting, carrying, and arranging of boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
• Lift and carry boxes weighing from 10 lbs to 100 lbs regularly, without assistance.
• Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.
• Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
• Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes on inclines, stairs, and over changes in walking surfaces.
• Read and write English to process incoming and outgoing orders.
• Use the proprietary computer system to track orders and determine box locations.
• Operate handheld scanners.
• Climb and balance on ladders.
• Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
• Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids.

Qualifications

• Protective footwear meeting ASTM F2413-11 standards with a slip-resistant rating of "Better or Best" is required.
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance for prolonged periods.
• Capability to load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and various other material handling aids.
