Materials - Buyer - Direct Entry

Our client, a Energy Services company, is looking for a Materials - Buyer - Direct - Entry for their Austin, TX location.
 
Responsibilities:

• General Profile Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.
• Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers.
• Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
• Ensure supply continuity to enable manufacturing with speed and quality.
• Follow-up on orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records.
• Adhere to standard purchasing business processes Proactively drive and ensure timely delivery/shipment of parts from supplier to Applied factories including resolution of shipment/receiving and billing issues with supplier Partner with suppliers on demand/supply collaboration.
• Execute and manage pull-ins/push-outs with suppliers to meet MRP demand Drive inventory and E&Z reduction efforts Negotiate and execute purchase and RFQ to drive the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need Drive problem resolution for supply issues with key stakeholders (engineering, manufacturing, Program Managers) with support from Managers Minimum

 
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree 1-2 years of related experience
• A solid understanding of the industry’s key business drivers Good communication/interpersonal skills to explain complex information to others Competencies Creativity (0 - No Experience); Buyer
