Job Title: Trauma Registrar
Location: Remote
Duration: 21 weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)

Job Description:

Requirements:

HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
1 years of recent relevant experience.
Proficiency in ICD-9 coding.
Experience with medical record review, data abstraction, and diagnosis and treatment coding.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Knowledge of confidentiality, medical information release, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
Ability to perform basic analytical calculations and maintain accurate, timely registry data.
Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English and demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with trauma registry database systems.
Experience submitting trauma registry data to county or state agencies.
Experience producing reports for injury research, performance improvement, quality improvement, or administration.
Experience supporting multidisciplinary healthcare teams and department projects.
