Light Industrial - Counter Representative

Job Description:Hybrid role as a Counter rep with warehouse duties (this role is not business professional attire due to working within warehouse)

Must haves:
6 months to 1 year basic computer experience
Ideal candidate has worked in hardware or home improvement retail

The Counter Sales Rep is the face of our retail parts store and the go-to person for all the customers' needs.

Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales
Greet customers and contractors in a professional and friendly manner.
Assist customers in identifying products and solutions that meet their needs.
Process orders, quotes, returns, and sales transactions accurately.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Support branch sales goals through product knowledge and customer engagement.

Warehouse Operations
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
Receive incoming inventory and verify shipments for accuracy.
Stock shelves and maintain organized warehouse storage areas.
Assist with cycle counts and inventory management.
Ensure orders are filled accurately and on time.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications:
Counter experience in wholesale distribution.
Local market knowledge is a plus!
A willingness to learn is a must have!
Great customer service and communication skills.
Previous customer service, counter sales, retail, plumbing supply, HVAC supply, electrical supply, construction, or warehouse experience preferred.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems.
Forklift experience is a plus, but training may be provided.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
