Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week

= Requirements

• Active California RN License required

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• ACLS required within 1 year of hire

• 2 years of Med-Surg RN experience

• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital setting

• Experience with medication administration and narcotic control

• Basic arrhythmia interpretation skills

• Blood transfusion experience

• Ability to supervise LVNs and non-professional staff

• Strong documentation and patient/family education skills

• Must be willing to assist other departments when needed

• Holiday coverage required

>z Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and ongoing patient assessments

• Develop and implement individualized plans of care

• Administer medications and physician-ordered treatments safely

• Monitor patient conditions and report abnormal findings

• Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient progress

• Provide patient and family education

• Initiate emergency/resuscitative measures according to protocol

• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards

• Monitor and interpret basic cardiac rhythms

• Coordinate patient transfers for procedures and diagnostic testing

• Administer blood transfusions according to hospital policy

• Supervise LVNs and support staff

• Maintain accurate and legally complete patient records

• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
