What They're Looking For
Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or production planning.
Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Strong supplier management and vendor negotiation experience.
Experience issuing purchase orders, RFQs, and coordinating procurement activities.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as SAGE, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Systems is a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience OR Associate's Degree with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
Purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, or production planning experience.
Experience managing purchase orders and supplier communications.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
Manufacturing or high-tech production environment experience.
Experience with SAGE ERP, NetSuite, or similar MRP systems.
AS9100 experience.
CPM Certification or equivalent.
Aerospace, electronics, defense, or medical device industry experience.
Production planning and inventory management experience.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze purchasing requirements and determine best sourcing strategies.
Evaluate and identify suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and performance.
Prepare RFQs, negotiate pricing, and issue purchase orders.
Manage supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance.
Resolve shipment discrepancies, quality concerns, and invoice issues.
Negotiate costs, lead times, engineering changes, and supplier agreements.
Develop alternate sourcing strategies and backup suppliers.
Support manufacturing schedules through effective procurement planning.
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams.
Expedite critical orders and proactively address supply chain challenges.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving opportunities.
