Lead Technician

We are seeking experienced Scaffold Lead Technicians to join our construction team. Qualified candidates will have hands-on scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to provide technical guidance to less experienced crew members.

Candidates must be comfortable working at heights, have their own required tools, possess reliable transportation, and be able to meet employment eligibility verification requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling in accordance with approved plans, safety procedures, and site requirements.
• Participate in pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and job safety discussions.
• Inspect and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall-protection equipment.
• Interpret scaffold drawings, layouts, instructions, and load requirements.
• Verify scaffold foundations, dimensions, platforms, access points, guardrails, toe boards, bracing, ties, and safety tags.
• Troubleshoot scaffold installation, access, component, and quality issues.
• Provide technical direction, demonstrations, and coaching to scaffold helpers and technicians.
• Load, unload, stage, organize, and transport scaffold materials safely.
• Maintain clean work areas, barricades, access routes, and proper housekeeping.
• Identify and report hazards, damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, and quality concerns.
• Coordinate with supervisors, scaffold crews, and other trades to support safe and productive operations.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of scaffold, construction, or related industrial experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with multiple scaffold systems, including system scaffolds, frame scaffolds, tube-and-clamp scaffolds, towers, and other specialized scaffold configurations.
• Strong knowledge of scaffold assembly, dismantling, access, fall protection, bracing, guardrails, and tagging requirements.
