Material Handler
Location: Houston TX 77032
Pay rate 16.50/hr.
Duration: 12 months
Looking for Someone who can start ASAP
Description:
• Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
• Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.
• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
• Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
• May prepare kitting packages for assembly production. Interacts daily with peers and customers (typically internal) to exchange or present factual information.
• Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment.
• Has little or no role in decision-making. Receives predetermined assignments subject to moderate level of control and review. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
• Works under close supervision. Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
