We are seeking an Analytical Chemist to support environmental testing and materials characterization in one of the nation’s most advanced transformer fluid testing laboratories. Working as part of a small laboratory team, this role will prepare and test transformer fluid samples, operate gas chromatographs, analyze and report results, and ensure testing meets quality assurance, standard operating procedure, regulatory, and client turnaround requirements.
- Full time/40 hours week
- Pay Range: DOE $34/hr-$37/h4
- Location: Burnsville, MN

Responsibilities
- Prepare and test transformer fluid samples.
- Operate gas chromatographs and other laboratory instruments.
- Recognize and address issues encountered during gas chromatograph testing.
- Analyze test data and evaluate results for accuracy and quality.
- Conduct testing in compliance with quality assurance and standard operating procedure requirements.
- Complete laboratory documentation and maintain accurate testing records.
- Report analytical results clearly and within Alternative Technologies client-preferred turnaround times.
- Support regulatory compliance and quality control activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of gas chromatography.
- Prior experience in analytical chemistry or laboratory testing.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a Laboratory
