Filler Operator

Starting Pay:

• 2nd Shift: $20.00/hour total
• 3rd Shift: $20.50/hour total

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Filler Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating filling and packaging equipment, ensuring products are produced safely, accurately, and efficiently while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety standards, and quality guidelines. What You'll Do

• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company safety policies
• Set up, operate, and monitor filler machines and related equipment according to work order specifications
• Complete production work orders accurately and efficiently while meeting daily production goals
• Perform machine changeovers, sanitation, cleaning, and equipment setup procedures
• Sterilize and manually wash machine components, including CIP (Clean-In-Place) and SIP (Steam-In-Place) processes
• Monitor product quality and make operational adjustments as needed
• Conduct routine quality checks, fill volume checks, and weight verifications
• Maintain accurate production, quality, sanitation, and downtime records
• Assist with minor machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities
• Inspect cartons, caps, and packaging materials to ensure quality and prevent machine jams
• Replenish supplies such as caps, cartons, and packaging materials to support continuous operations
• Ensure products are properly sealed, packaged, and meet company quality standards
• Follow aseptic manufacturing processes and food safety requirements
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks according to sanitation schedules
• Partner with the Quality team to maintain food safety and product quality standards
• Understand product specifications, lot numbers, and part numbers related to production orders
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety requirements
• Support other production areas as needed and perform additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred; food production experience is a plus
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, weights, and measurements
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn manufacturing control systems
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong problem-solving abilities and good decision-making skills
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, climb, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks
• Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds safely
• Ability to operate production equipment, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other manufacturing tools as needed

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production setting
• Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and food production odors
• Required use of PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hairnets, uniforms, safety shoes, and other protective equipment as needed
