Key Responsibilities

• Directly manage Project Managers or oversee large, complex, multi-crew civil construction projects.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Serve as an escalation point for contract disputes, financial challenges, schedule impacts, change management, client concerns, and project risks.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasting, profitability, cash flow, cost exposure, and risk.
• Review contracts, claims, change orders, procurement strategies, and project execution plans.
• Lead improvements to project management processes, operational standards, training, and technology.
• Partner with Operations, Estimating, Safety, and Equipment teams to improve project delivery and workforce development.
• Build client and stakeholder relationships and support business development efforts.
• Promote consistent safety, quality, scheduling, and project management standards.
• Analyze project results and implement improvements to profitability and execution.

Required Qualifications

• 2–4 years of successful performance as a Project Manager II, or equivalent leadership experience in heavy civil construction or a related industry.
• Experience managing multiple projects, major scopes, or Project Managers while maintaining strong financial and operational performance.
• Proven experience with complex contracts, client negotiations, claims, change orders, and risk mitigation.
• Strong financial acumen in forecasting, budgeting, cost control, cash flow, and project financial reporting.
• Demonstrated success developing Project Engineers or Project Managers through coaching and mentoring.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, risk management, and construction law fundamentals.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
