Pay: [$23 to $27]
Schedule: [Night shift but will train on days for a week]

Apache Workforce is hiring a Press Brake Operator for a manufacturing client in Conroe, TX. This position supports the fabrication of sheet metal components used in electrical control panels, enclosures, and related equipment.

We are looking for someone with experience setting up and operating press brakes who can read fabrication drawings, take accurate measurements, and consistently produce quality work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal according to fabrication drawings and work orders.
• Select and install appropriate punches and dies based on material thickness and bend requirements.
• Adjust machine settings, back gauges, and bend sequences to achieve specified dimensions and angles.
• Verify material type and thickness before forming.
• Inspect first-piece and finished parts using measuring tools to confirm accuracy and quality.
• Make necessary adjustments to account for springback and maintain consistent bends.
• Identify and report equipment issues, tooling damage, or material defects.
• Organize completed parts for the next stage of fabrication.
• Follow machine safety procedures, use required PPE, and maintain a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience setting up and operating press brakes in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders.
• Knowledge of press brake tooling, bend sequences, and sheet metal forming.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure, calipers, and angle-measuring tools.
• Basic math skills, including working with fractions, dimensions, and angles.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and the ability to work with a production team.
• CNC press brake experience is preferred.
• Experience fabricating electrical enclosures, panels, or similar sheet metal products is a plus.
