Software Engineer - Now Hiring

Description

Software Engineer will work across the full application stack and should be comfortable moving between frontend, backend, cloud and deployment work rather than operating within a narrowly defined UI or backend role in a large enterprise environment.

Day-to-day work will include:

Developing customer-facing experiences using React and JavaScript

Building and enhancing backend services using Java and Node.js

Supporting the continued migration of web pages from the external vendor to the internally developed platform

Building and enhancing capabilities surrounding the content management system

Developing, deploying and maintaining applications within AWS

Supporting AWS environment buildouts and ongoing cloud maintenance

Supporting infrastructure/environment automation using Terraform

Using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, troubleshooting, testing and development across unfamiliar portions of the stack

Examples include:

Building coding/development agents

Creating agentic workflows

Automating portions of the software-development lifecycle

Building workflows in which AI-generated work moves through human code review

The ideal AI-oriented candidate understands how to take the tools/models already available and build useful engineering workflows around them.

A strong candidate might look like: Java + React + strong AWS experience or Strong Java/full-stack engineer + AWS + Node exposure working in a large enterprise environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
