  • Contribute to high-impact heavy civil projects exceeding $20M by providing strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making on complex work scopes.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 510 years of heavy civil project management experience with a heavy civil construction contractor, with extensive hands-on responsibility.
  • Deep expertise in underground utilities, including installing and managing water mains, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer systems.
  • Proficiency with HCSS software, specifically HCSS HeavyBid and HCSS HeavyJob, for estimating, job costing, and project tracking.

  • Experience in heavy civil construction, including grading, excavation, and site development.
  • Experience in construction management and commercial construction environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret civil drawings, specifications, and standards for site utilities and civil sitework.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead project meetings and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Track record of long-term career stability and consistent commitment to prior employers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CAD tools to support project layouts, utilities, and construction plans.
  • Experience with AutoCAD in a civil or construction context.
  • Experience with Agtek and/or PlanSwift for takeoffs and planning (preferred).
  • Broad understanding of construction, civil sitework, and site utilities in both field and office settings.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage variable workloads based on project demands.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing documentation, logistics plans, and project schedules.
