Logistics Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule inbound material deliveries and outbound steel shipments.
• Arrange flatbed trucks and transportation for steel products and materials.
• Communicate with drivers, fabrication teams, vendors, and project personnel to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
• Monitor shipments and track deliveries to ensure materials arrive at job sites on time.
• Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documents, bills of lading (BOLs), delivery tickets, and related paperwork.
• Coordinate shipment timing with production and fabrication schedules.
• Provide updates on shipment status, delays, and delivery changes.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and transportation issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and organize logistics documentation.
• Assist with daily logistics, dispatching, and shipping operations to ensure efficient workflow.
• Bilingual Spanish / English (Required)

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, shipping, dispatching, or transportation coordination.
• Experience arranging transportation and coordinating deliveries.
• Knowledge of shipping documentation, bills of lading, and delivery tracking.
• Flatbed trucking experience is a strong plus.
• Experience in structural steel, metal fabrication, construction materials, or industrial manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, and logistics or transportation software.
• Ability to communicate professionally with drivers, vendors, and internal teams.
