Furniture Upholsterer

Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled Production Upholsterers for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a production-line role focusing on standard furniture assembly (not custom upholstery) across multiple assigned stations.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 7 am to 3.30 pm OT as needed

Pay Rate: 20 to 22 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and follow work orders, upholstery manuals, specifications, and production instructions for the assigned furniture style and operation.
• Upholster furniture bodies, arms, inside backs, and outside backs, working across multiple stations based on demonstrated proficiency.
• Position, stretch, align, and secure fabric or leather and padding to achieve specified fit, tension, appearance, and construction quality.
• Install tack strips, Ply-Grip, dust covers, and furniture legs as required by product specifications.
• Operate pneumatic staple guns and hand tools safely; inspect tools before use and report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment.
• Check materials and components before use and inspect completed work before passing it to the next operation. Correct routine workmanship issues within the assigned scope and report defects.
• Meet established daily production and quality standards while following safe work practices.
• Coordinate with the supervisor and adjacent stations regarding production flow, material shortages, and quality concerns.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly, follow safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and promptly report hazards or injuries.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in production upholstery or manufacturing assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and production instructions.
• Proficiency in using pneumatic staple guns and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift materials throughout the shift in a fast-paced environment.
