Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Occasional Saturdays as business needs require

Position Summary

Employbridge is seeking a reliable and organized Dispatcher to support transportation and warehouse operations in Livonia, MI. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, communicating with drivers and customers, scheduling deliveries, and ensuring timely and accurate movement of freight. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily pickups, deliveries, and transportation routes.
• Communicate with drivers, warehouse personnel, customers, and carriers regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively address delays or service issues.
• Enter and maintain accurate transportation and order information in company systems.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, bills of lading, manifests, and delivery paperwork.
• Track and verify completed deliveries and obtain required documentation.
• Assist with resolving customer inquiries, shipment discrepancies, and service concerns.
• Maintain communication logs and transportation records.
• Support warehouse operations by coordinating shipping priorities and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and safety procedures.
• Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous dispatch, logistics, transportation, customer service, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or dispatch software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and perform in a fast-paced setting.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in an office and warehouse environment.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
