Specimen Lab Technician (Entry level)

The Specimen Lab Technician supports a reference laboratory and independent specimen-processing team through routine accessioning of blood and urine specimens. This entry-level role helps ensure accurate specimen handling, documentation, quality control, and compliance with laboratory safety standards.

Hours 10am to 630pm Monday and Tuesday.

Wednesday Thursday and Friday as needed.

No less than 25 hrs. per week.

Responsibilities

• Label blood and urine specimens accurately.
• Perform routine specimen accessioning.
• Maintain complete and accurate laboratory logs.
• Conduct quality control activities throughout specimen processing.
• Follow laboratory safety and compliance procedures.
• Support the independent specimen-processing team in a reference laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in specimen processing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of specimen processing practices.
