Pay: $21.50/hr

Location: Gilmore City, IA

Schedule: M-TH 6a-4:3p, Possible Overtime on Fridays

 Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

Fiberglass Laminator Job Summary: 

Pridestaff is working with a local, well-known manufacturer of speciality equipment serving a variety of industries that is seeking a Fiberglass Laminator to join their team. The Fiberglass Laminator will work with fiberglass molds, prepare surfaces, and apply coatings.  The ideal Fiberglass Laminator candidate has experience working with fiberglass and resins and is able to work in a detail-oriented environment as part of a successful team. 

Fiberglass Laminator Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cut Materials to Specified Dimensions Using Hand Tools
• Clean, Wax & Prepare Fiberglass Molds to Produce & Bond Together Components
• Grind Fiberglass Components as Needed
• Prep Surfaces for Coating Using Sandblasting Equipment & Apply Primer Coating by Spray, Brush, or Roller 
• Apply Primer Coatings with Natural Gas Compressors & Pumps
• Mask & Tape Surrounding Surfaces & Paint Finished Surface
• Operate all Tools and Air-Operated Equipment According to Company’s Safety Procedures
• Maintain & Clean all Equipment Including Brushes, Rollers, Sprayers & Sandblasting Equipment
• Read & Follow all Material Safety Data Sheets & Safety & Operation Instructions
• Follow All Safety & PPE Requirements
• Additional Duties as Assigned

Fiberglass Laminator Job Requirements: 

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Must have at Least 1 Year of experience Working with Fiberglass, Resins & Catalysts, Preferably in the Marine Industry or Similar Environment
• Must have a General Knowledge of Surface Preparation regarding the use of Paint, Epoxy, Resins & Other Coatings
• Must be Able to Wear Appropriate PPE, Including a Respirator & be Able to Pass a Respirator fit Test
• Must be Able to Stand, Bend, Kneel, Squat, Climb Stairs, and Lift up to 50 lbs
