Client is seeking a Senior Mobile Architect to support modernization of the DC DMV Mobile Application, architecting and developing iOS and Android applications integrated with Mobile Backend as a Service (MBaaS).

Complete Description:

• The Client is modernizing the District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DC DMV) Mobile Application to leverage new digital technologies such as cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and mobile capabilities required to create a modern experience for DC DMV customers and partners. The DMV Mobile Application (Destiny) helps DC DMV improve services to citizens and enhance government operations while strengthening overall data security. To address these challenges, the Client team is looking to hire a highly skilled senior developer to rapidly connect the DMV Mobile Application with modern technology.
• This role will architect, design, and develop mobile applications in iOS and Android integrated with Mobile Backend as a Service (MBaaS) using the Java API for RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS) architecture. The selected candidate will work to gain an understanding of DC DMV mobile infrastructure and application implementation requirements that facilitate continuous feature release of applications.
• This is a Master level position which required 16 years of work experience and a BS Degree or the equivalent. 

Skills:

·       Genuine core JAVA development with strong back-end development skills. 12 Years Required

·       Strong backend system design and architecture – JAVA Annotations, Generics, Reflection, Inheritance, OO Design, NIO, Bean Validation. 15 Years Required

·       Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience. 12 Years Required

·       Enterprise mobile application development experience with iOS and Android. 7 Years Required

·       Omnichannel MADP experience across different form factors – NFC, BLE, and IR. 10 Years Required

·       Spring Boot Application Development experience. 10 Years Required

·       Spring – Java Config, Dependency Injection, Auto wiring Concepts. 10 Years Required

·       Spring Integration Development experience. 10 Years Required

·       Spring Web Services Development experience. 10 Years Required

·       Experience with MAVEN project build. 10 Years Required

·       Experience with GIT version control repository. 12 Years Required

·       Experience with Tomcat/Jetty/Undertow Application Servers. 10 Years Required

·       Experience with LINUX working environment. 10 Years Required

·       Experience with JIRA issue tracker. 8 Years Desired

·       Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices. 8 Years Desired

·       OpenShift container-based application development and deployment experience. Required

·       BS Degree or equivalent experience. Required
