Marine Diesel - (Boat Engineer)

We are seeking a Marine Diesel Mechanic to support a small maintenance team within a shipyard service department. This role will service commercial fishing vessels, workboats, and ferries while performing reliable engine, mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, cooling, and mechanical maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair marine diesel engines.
• Perform preventive maintenance and engine overhauls.
• Service fuel injection and fuel systems.
• Repair and maintain cooling systems.
• Troubleshoot marine electrical systems.
• Inspect and repair hydraulic systems.
• Inspect parts and components for serviceability.
• Document inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in marine diesel mechanics.
• Experience with diesel engine diagnostics and marine engine repair.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with fuel injection systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• Technical documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety compliance.
