Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – 13-Week Contract
Location: Weston, WV
Position Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts
Shift Requirement: Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Weston, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide quality nursing care while working collaboratively with the healthcare team. Candidates must be professional, punctual, and flexible to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed within the LPN scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient care planning.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Follow facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a professional manner.
Schedule
- 13-week contract
- Three (3) 12-hour shifts per week
- Rotating shifts required (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed)
Qualifications
Required:
- Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- Current TB Test documentation
- Up-to-date Vaccination Records
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Strong attendance record and commitment to punctuality
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends
Preferred:
- Previous experience in long-term care, behavioral health, rehabilitation, or acute care settings
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
