Shipping & Receiving Associate

Overview:

• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move, load, unload, and organize materials.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, flatbeds, and other delivery vehicles.
• Accurately pick, package, stage, and prepare products for shipment.
• Receive incoming materials, inspect products, and verify quantities.
• Match product numbers to work orders, pick lists, and inventory records.
• Use barcode scanners and computer systems to track inventory movement.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, including packing slips and bills of lading.
• Coordinate shipments through UPS, FedEx, and other freight carriers.
• Use hand tools to build pallets and shipping crates as needed.
• Communicate inventory shortages, damaged materials, and shipping discrepancies.

Skills and Experience:

• Forklift license required.
• Experience operating both stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, pick lists, part numbers, and blueprints.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or ERP systems.
• Ability to perform basic math and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
