About the Job

Anderson & Dahlen is hiring Metal Finishers to work with stainless steel components used in custom equipment for the food industry.

Youll take parts after welding and grind, sand, and polish the stainless steel to a smooth, high-quality finish, including buffing exterior surfaces to a mirror finish.

Responsibilities

• Grind welds on stainless steel parts to a smooth finish
• Inspect welds for defects and imperfections
• Buff and polish stainless steel to a mirror finish
• Use grinders, sanders, and straight liners
• Edge sheet metal using a straight liner
• Maintain attention to detail to avoid damaging or scrapping parts
• Read and follow work orders

Qualifications

• 6+ months of metal finishing or grinding experience
• Mechanical aptitude from manufacturing, construction, automotive/lube tech, or similar hands-on work
• Comfortable using a grinder for extended periods
• Able to stand throughout the shift and perform repetitive production work
• Strong attention to detail
• Micrometer and caliper experience is a plus, but not required
• Must pass required drug screening

Interview Process

Candidates should be prepared for a short blueprint test along with basic fraction-to-decimal and decimal-to-fraction questions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
