Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) SME to lead the implementation, configuration, administration, and optimization of ServiceNow ITAM solutions.
• The role focuses on Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM Pro), asset lifecycle management, software license compliance, and CMDB integration.
• The candidate will collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Procurement, Application Support, and Compliance teams to improve asset visibility, governance, utilization, and regulatory compliance.
• The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ServiceNow platform development, integrations, ITIL processes, reporting, automation, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with FedRAMP environments, security controls, and continuous monitoring is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and support ServiceNow ITAM solutions, including:
  • Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
  • Software Asset Management (SAM Pro).
  • Asset Lifecycle Management.
  • Discovery and CMDB integrations.
• Configure and maintain ServiceNow ITAM modules, workflows, forms, business rules, scripts, and integrations.
• Configure and manage complex software publisher packs for vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, and SAP.
• Manage the end-to-end IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, tracking, and retirement.
• Manage software license entitlements, compliance, reconciliation, optimization, and audit readiness.
• Perform data reconciliation across CMDB, Discovery, procurement systems, and asset repositories.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor asset utilization, software compliance, lifecycle status, and cost optimization.
• Develop and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, LDAP, JDBC, and other applicable protocols.
• Use ServiceNow Flow Designer and IntegrationHub to automate workflows and streamline asset management processes.
• Write, maintain, and troubleshoot JavaScript and PowerShell scripts to support platform functionality, automation, and data transformation.
• Support file-based data imports, data transformations, integrations, and asset data migration activities.
• Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve defects, and provide production support.
• Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Security, Infrastructure, and Compliance teams to establish asset governance policies and procedures.
• Support ServiceNow upgrades, patching, enhancements, and platform maintenance activities.
• Document technical designs, configurations, integration specifications, and operational procedures.
• Participate in unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), performance testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and other client-specific testing.
• Establish repeatable processes for development, testing, staging, and production environments to ensure reliability, availability, and consistency.
• Support Agile/Scrum delivery processes, sprint planning, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in ServiceNow development, administration, implementation, or IT Asset Management solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITAM, including Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM Pro).
• Experience implementing and managing asset lifecycle processes, software license compliance, and asset governance.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform configuration, workflows, business rules, scripting, and integrations.
• Experience with CMDB, ServiceNow Discovery, asset data reconciliation, and configuration management processes.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining integrations using REST, SOAP, LDAP, JDBC, or similar protocols.
• Strong JavaScript skills and experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub is preferred.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, IT service management, and industry best practices.
• Experience with data transformation, data imports, file-based processing, and integration troubleshooting.
• Understanding of IT architecture, network architecture, and security implications associated with integrations.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, UAT, and defect resolution.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and environment management best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing and supporting ServiceNow ITAM solutions in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Experience with large-scale ServiceNow implementations in FedRAMP-regulated environments.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP security requirements, authorization processes, security controls, and continuous monitoring.
• Experience configuring software publisher packs and managing license compliance for Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, and SAP.
• Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro software license optimization, entitlement management, and audit preparation.
• Knowledge of IT asset governance, compliance reporting, and risk management.
• Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative delivery practices.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is mandatory.
• Additional ServiceNow certifications in ITAM, HAM, or SAM are desirable.
