Duties

• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients according to recipes.
• Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas.
• Help with menu planning by providing input based on seasonal ingredients and availability.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or food preparation is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including knives and cooking tools, is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
