A day in this roleYour morning starts with a review of overnight work orders in the CMMS, prioritizing a leaking valve in a mechanical room and a clogged grease trap in a high-traffic area. You pull up the drawings, confirm shut-off locations, and head out. By mid-morning, you’ve diagnosed and repaired a sanitary line issue, and after lunch, you’re mentoring a junior technician from another trade on safe fixture installation practices. Before you wrap up, you log detailed maintenance notes, verify OSHA safety checks, and prepare to rotate onto after-hours on-call support later in the week.
What you’ll tackle- Master-level installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems: fixtures, pipes, valve fittings, sanitary and storm lines, grease traps, heating and drainage systems, and both water and gas leaks.
- Set, connect, and service sinks, water lines, toilets, showers, commodes, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposals, and dishwashers.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance work orders, interpret blueprints/drawings, document work within the CMMS, and follow OSHA standards at all times.
- Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule to respond promptly to facility emergencies.
- Coach and guide technicians from other disciplines on plumbing trade fundamentals.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 7–9 years of commercial plumbing experience.
- Valid in-state driver’s license and an active Master Plumber license.
- Comfort working in confined spaces and during night shifts; ability to replace automatic sprinkler heads.
- Reliable, punctual, safety-first mindset with strong teamwork and client service orientation.
- Educational assistance: over $5,249 annually toward degrees and certifications—keep advancing your craft.
- Clear development paths: we invest in your skills and advocate for your progression into leadership.
- Steady, mission-critical facilities work within a supportive, safety-driven team.
In addition to competitive pay, you’ll receive a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, life and disability insurance, HSA/FSA accounts, retirement, rewards programs, and more.
