What You'll Do as a Speech-Language Pathologist

As a Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll provide skilled speech-language pathology services to residents in a skilled nursing setting.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to assess progress and establish appropriate therapy goals.

• Provide dysphagia assessment and management to support safe swallowing and nutrition.

• Help residents improve communication skills, cognitive function, and independence.

• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and outcomes.

• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, dietitians, and other rehabilitation professionals.

• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and swallowing safety.

• Participate in discharge planning and provide recommendations to support continuity of care.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and applicable payer requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

• Current Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure.

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.

• A compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

• Interest in working with older adults in a skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation setting.

• Previous skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.
