About the Role
SerKy Consulting is hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses for full-time roles in correctional healthcare across three units in the Beaumont area. If you want variety, few nursing jobs offer more. In one role you’ll work across clinic, inpatient, outpatient, med pass, wound care, cell-side care, ER, and critical care. You’ll build a skill set that sets you apart for the rest of your career.
Openings & Schedule
- 4 Day shift positions: 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM
- 3 Night shift positions: 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM
- 4/3 rotating schedule, so you get more days off every pay period
Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Provide nursing care, treatments, and diagnostic and preventive procedures for incarcerated patients
- Interpret physician orders and administer prescribed medications
- Assist physicians with sick call, and assess patients during sick call when a physician isn’t present
- Check and record vital signs, apply surgical dressings, and provide emergency first aid
- Report reactions to treatments and medications, and changes in patients’ physical or emotional condition
- Provide patient health education and discharge planning
- Advise correctional staff on patient health needs as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records, and check and order supplies
- Consult with your supervisor on complex cases
What You Need
- Graduation from an accredited LVN program
- An active Texas LVN license (or compact license valid in Texas)
- 1+ year of Med-Surg or LTAC experience
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers
- IV Therapy certification
Before Your Start Date
Selected candidates will complete standard healthcare credentialing. This includes a drug screen, a physical, immunization records (including COVID-19, flu, MMR, varicella, Tdap, and Hep B), and a TB test. We’ll walk you through every step.
