Packaging Operator

As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for operating vial filling machines, fabrication machines, and secondary packaging equipment, including labels and semi-automatic packaging equipment. Your role will involve cleaning and setting up manufacturing and packaging equipment, ensuring that calibration stickers are up to date, and recording all necessary documentation in logbooks and batch records. You will also be responsible for palletizing completed work and transporting it to the warehouse as needed, as well as accurately completing downtime logs.

• Operate vial filling machines, fabrication machines, and secondary packaging equipment.
• Clean and set up manufacturing/packaging equipment.
• Ensure calibration stickers are current.
• Record necessary documentation in logbooks and batch records.
• Palletize completed work and transport to warehouse.
• Complete downtime logs accurately.
• Meet established scrap rate goals.
• Communicate with IPC Operator on quality, components, and machine performance.
• Account for reconciled labeling, such as pouchstock, inserts, and shipper labels.
• Communicate mechanical and production issues with shifts.
• Apply knowledge of SOPs practically.

• Experience in packaging, production, and GMP.
• Ability to operate vial filling and fabrication machines.
• Proficiency in labeling and semi-automatic packaging equipment.
• Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical packaging experience.
• Basic reading, writing, verbal, and mathematical skills.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for the majority of the day.
• Capability to lift or move 25-49 pounds.
• Ability to gown for manufacturing.
• Basic use of tools and equipment.

This position is for the 3rd shift, running from 10:15 pm to 6:15 am from Sunday night to Friday morning. Training will occur on your designated shift except for the first day of GMP/Safety Training, which takes place from 7:45 am to 3:00 pm. The work environment includes standing for extended periods and handling materials in a cleanroom setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caldwell, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
