Job Description

Join our team as a Production Packer on the 2nd shift, working from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday. This role involves physically demanding tasks, including lifting and placing 50-pound bags onto a conveyor and palletizing finished products. It also will require operating a sit down forklift.

Responsibilities

• Lift and place 50-pound bags of products onto a conveyor.
• Palletize and stretch wrap finished pallets.
• Operate, monitor, and adjust bagging machines for accurate and consistent packaging.
• Calibrate scales, load materials, and verify correct bag types.
• Inspect filled bags for correct weight, seal integrity, labeling accuracy, and overall quality.
• Maintain accurate production records, including bag counts, material usage, downtime, and quality checks.
• Assist with staging raw materials and finished goods.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, packing, and palletizing.
• Ability to consistently lift 50-pound bags of powders.
• Familiarity with operating a sit-down forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience working with and around chemicals is preferred.
• Ability to stand all day and wear an N95 mask for the majority of the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Joliet, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Joliet, IL.
