Job Description
Precision CNC Milling Programmer (3/4‑Axis, Tight‑Tolerance)

Sarasota, FL | Full-Time

Is this you?
  • Can you look at a complex print, visualize workholding, and map a clean sequence of ops?
  • Do you enjoy turning a CAD model into efficient toolpaths and reliable G‑code?
  • Are you comfortable on the floor during prove‑out—tweaking feeds/speeds and solving problems live?

If so, a well‑established precision manufacturer in the Sarasota area wants your expertise programming tight‑tolerance parts on 3‑ and 4‑axis machining centers.

You Will
  • Program, modify, and optimize CNC milling operations for 3‑ and 4‑axis VMCs.
  • Create code from drawings, 3D CAD, and technical specs.
  • Define process plans: tooling, fixtures, speeds/feeds, and operation sequences.
  • Drive new‑part development from first print through first‑piece acceptance.
  • Design/improve setups, fixtures, and machining processes for consistency.
  • Diagnose and resolve programming, tooling, and dimensional issues.
  • Continuously reduce cycle time while safeguarding quality and tool life.
  • Partner closely with machinists, quality, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Apply advanced blueprint reading and GD&T to hit demanding tolerances.
  • Lead first‑piece prove‑outs and confirm program capability.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date programs and process documentation.
  • Hunt for continuous improvement opportunities.
You Have
  • Demonstrated success programming 3‑ and 4‑axis machining centers.
  • Ability to independently program complex precision components.
  • Strong command of machining fundamentals: cutters, fixturing, feeds/speeds, workholding.
  • Excellent print interpretation and GD&T knowledge.
  • Experience delivering tight‑tolerance results.
  • Hands‑on troubleshooting skills at the machine.
  • Professional CAM experience.
  • Detail orientation and a problem‑solver’s mindset.
  • Background in precision machining or advanced manufacturing (preferred).
  • Experience with both NPI and production machining (nice to have).
What Success Looks Like
  • First‑piece prove‑outs that run to print—every time.
  • Documented processes and programs that are easy to repeat and audit.
  • Measurable cycle‑time and tool‑life improvements without sacrificing capability.
Tools & Tech You’ll Touch
  • Core Skills: CNC Tooling, CNC Programming, G‑Code
  • Mills/Lathes: CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC), CNC Lathe (2–4 axis)
  • CAM Platform: Autodesk Fusion 360
Why Join

Join a collaborative, quality‑driven team working on sophisticated equipment and challenging parts where your programming craftsmanship makes a visible impact from concept through production.
