Assistant Director

About This Role

Prep Academy of Learning, located at 2502 Archwood Drive, Albany, GA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director to help lead our early childhood education team. In this role, you will partner closely with the Center Director to oversee daily operations, mentor teaching staff, ensure strict regulatory compliance, and maintain a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for our families and children.

• Assist the Center Director in managing day-to-day administrative operations, enrollment, and staff scheduling.
• Support, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff in curriculum delivery and classroom management.
• Ensure the facility remains in full compliance with Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) regulations.
• Cultivate strong, positive relationships with parents through clear, consistent, and welcoming communication.

• A degree or credential in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory or administrative experience within a licensed childcare facility.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Georgia state licensing standards, health regulations, and safety policies.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• Active CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Experience utilizing modern childcare management software platforms.
