Senior AWS Data Engineer AWS RedShift EMR Glue ETL

About the Role:
Ensisinfo Inc is looking for a talented and driven Senior AWS Data Engineer to join our growing team in Carmichael, CA. In this role, you'll architect and build powerful cloud-based data solutions leveraging cutting-edge AWS technologies. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, EMR, and Redshift
• Architect and optimize data warehousing solutions on Amazon Redshift for performance and cost efficiency
• Build and manage large-scale data processing workflows using AWS EMR and Apache Spark
• Develop and maintain data integration processes across multiple sources and destinations
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support data modeling and reporting needs
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance
• Implement best practices for data security, governance, and compliance within AWS environments

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on AWS cloud services
• Hands-on expertise with Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and AWS EMR
• Proficient in designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines at scale
• Strong SQL skills and experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Hive)
• Experience with Python or Scala for data engineering and pipeline development
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Kinesis, and IAM
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics or Solutions Architect) is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in an agile environment
